Terms and Conditions of Service
Service Venues
DirecTV and programmers have certain programming restrictions and various rate schedules for different service venues. University Baseline Service is based upon providing standard type basic services (i.e. no Premium, Sports Season Tickets, or PPV programming). Furthermore, University Baseline Service may not be delivered to venues that use such service in part to produce direct or indirect revenue as a result of having programming available (i.e. a sports bar). Campus Televideo and DirecTV reserve the right to make the sole determination as to whether the University Baseline Service offering is appropriate to the specific service locations requested. If it is determined that a particular location is not eligible for University Baseline Service, the Campus Televideo or DirecTV will determine which programming package and rate structure (if any) is appropriate.
Service Charges
Baseline service in Standard Definition (SD) is available to university departments for $19.24 per month per receiver, with no installation charge. Baseline Service in High Definition (HD) is available for $26.23 per month per receiver plus a one time installation fee of $100 per receiver.
Billing
Billing for Institutional Accounts is done on a calendar quarterly basis. The account may be paid either by credit card or by check. University Baseline Service for multiple locations must combined to a single departmental account. Billing is pro-rated for service start date, but not pro-rated for termination date.
Ownership of Equipment
The DirecTV receivers used to provide the Institutional Service will remain the property of Campus Televideo. The departmental subscriber will be responsible for the cost to repair or replace any damaged or lost equipment.
Minimum Commitment Period
A minimum of a one-year commitment is required to avoid early cancellation fees. Termination of service to any location before the one-year minimum commitment period may result in an early termination fee of $100 per location. If service to a location is terminated by Campus Televideo or DirecTV for any reason (i.e. determination of improper service venue), then the Minimum Commitment Period provisions of these terms will be waived.
